Innovative Professional Solutions, Inc. is a woman-owned, small business, providing professional services to the Department of the Navy since its incorporation in 2001.


We boast having the best in the industry as part of our IPS family and take pride in providing support to Mine Warfare (MIW), Littoral Warfare, and Marine Corps programs. The below provides a small glimpse into some of our areas of expertise.



PROGRAM MANAGEMENT



IPS' program managers have more than 115 cumulative years' experience supporting a variety of Department of Defense customers. This experience includes: Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) development and maintenance Earned Value Management (EVM) implementation, tracking, and training as well as managing all major phases (major process groups) of various projects (Conception and Initiation, Definition and Planning, Execution, Monitoring and Control, and Project Close).



ENGINEERING SUPPORT



IPS’s customers benefit from the knowledge and experience of our System, Mechanical, Electrical, Bioengineering, Software, and Industrial engineers. Our diverse engineering support includes experience in standing up, staffing, and managing In-Service Engineering Agent Depot facilities.

​ Our Systems Engineers provide a well-documented, strategic process to ensure all specifications and material requirements meet or exceed existing support needs or requirements. This includes developing sustainment processes, beginning with the prototype design, followed by mechanical design analysis, drawings, procurement, and ultimately configuration management for multiple parts or systems. We participate in Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR), hardware and software integration events, technology development, reverse engineering, and test events in direct support of our customers in order to maintain the reliability of combat systems and equipment.



FABRICATION



IPS’ Fabrication Technicians provide composites fabrication, repair, and maintenance of various U.S. Navy systems and subsystems. This includes creating molds, cutting, laying, sanding, and painting fiberglass disassembling, refurbishing, and reassembling Navy systems and operating grinders, lathes, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines, an climate-controlled industrial paint booth, and an assortment of hand tools.

​Our team provides on-site ship installation, repair, and training for various systems, aboard a range of ship classes, both CONUS and OCONUS, for the U.S. Navy and our allied partners.



TRAINING AND FLEET SUPPORT



IPS has several Master Training Specialists/Master Instructors with experience providing CONUS and OCONUS training support including scheduling personnel and training platform resources, maintaining all materials necessary for training, and providing and maintaining hardware necessary for the classroom, shipboard, or helicopter environment.

​Our Fleet Support is second-to-none as we provide both CONUS and OCONUS support for communication, radar, sonar, and navigation systems, as well as decision aids. We support engineering asset inventory management, Naval Supply System Command (NAVSUP) material queue tracking, as well as overhaul efforts, Conditional Assessment and Repair Effort (CARE) visits, Casualty Report (CASREP) responses, Depot Level Repair (DLR), Overhaul and Refurbishment (O&R) tasks, and system installs onboard a variety of U.S. Navy ships.



INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT



Software Development

IPS’ software developers have applied their Java, JavaScript, HTML, PHP, C, C++, C#, MySQL, CORBA, bash, perl, python, powershell, VisualC++, VisualBasic, Oracle APEX, and SQL skills to projects for NSWC PCD, industry, and academia.

Hardware/Networking Support

IPS’ hardware/networking capabilities include network design, management and maintenance of switches, routers, and firewalls. Development of installation, integration, test, and troubleshooting procedures.

Cybersecurity Support

IPS’ cybersecurity personnel are part of the Department of Defense Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) and have hands-on, NSWC PCD experience ensuring the security posture of systems currently employed by the U.S. Navy.



TECHNICIAN SUPPORT



IPS Technicians in both the Panama City, Florida, and Norfolk, Virginia, areas provide troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on electronics equipment/components such as Intermediate Level Test Equipment computers, oscilloscopes, frequency generators, circuit cards, and other electronic, communication, radar, and navigation systems and equipment. Experienced at reading and interpreting diagrams and drawings, our Technicians fabricate wiring harnesses, cables, racks, and components. We are well versed at depot, organizational, and intermediate level repair, maintenance, and support. IPS’ Technicians—many whom have several years of active-duty military experience—possess all required training and documentation for CONUS and OCONUS travel, as well as relevant shipyard and specialty certifications and trainings allowing them the ability to travel at a moment’s notice. Our Technicians are expert at reverse-engineering systems/subsystems to resolve system component and assembly supportability and obsolescence issues.

  • MIL-STD-2110 Restoration, Overhaul and Repair of Electronic Equipment and forklift operators, Navy-approved crane riggers


TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION



IPS is well versed at the development of, providing redlines or technical edits to, and configuration management of technical documentation such as: certification packages, test support plans, standard operating procedures, test execution plans, test execution management plans, test reports, quick-look reports, requirement traceability verification matrices, software certification plans, mission readiness review and test readiness review packages, data analyses plans, meeting minutes and action items, in-service engineering agent depot repair procedures, depot engineering procedures, training plans, software user manuals, technical manuals, Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR) documents, training briefs, software requirements specification document, demilitarization and disposal plans, alteration installation team reports, hardware user guides, diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages and integrated logistic support plan, unique identification plans, level of repair analysis, and training courses.
